Coldwell Banker Commercial GUNSTREAM & Associates was born out of a commitment to establish a higher standard for doing business in commercial real estate throughout the Boise-Nampa Metropolitan Area and its outlying communities.Founded in March 2000 as Gunstream Commercial Real Estate, the company opened its first office in Nampa Idaho, the second largest city in the state and geographically located near the center of the Boise-Nampa Metropolitan Area. Through the vision of its founder Jerry Gunstream, capitalizing on his many years in commercial real estate and more than 13 years of hands-on business experience in both the private and public sector, the company focused on the submarkets west of Boise and quickly grew to become the primary resource for commercial real estate in these markets. The company continues to dominate this portion of the metropolitan area and maintains its reputation as the single source for accurate and up-to-date commercial real estate information in Canyon County.

After more than eight years of successfully growing the reputation, influence and profitability of the company, founder Jerry Gunstream recognized the need to expand resources and the company’s platform of services. With a renewed commitment to its original mission and after months of evaluating several growth strategies, Gunstream Commercial Real Estate affiliated with the nationally ranked organization of Coldwell Banker Commercial.
On August 1, 2008, the company formally became Coldwell Banker Commercial GUNSTREAM & Associates. During a press conference to announce the new affiliation with Coldwell Banker Commercial, President and Owner Jerry Gunstream stated, “The timing is right for us to affiliate with CBC. Our regional growth has us ranked as one of the leading commercial real estate companies in our area, but we have the opportunity to expand and establish a substantial market share in the Boise market while maintaining our dominance in Canyon County. And although the commercial real estate market is still strong, the current national economic conditions cannot be overlooked. I want to ensure that our organization continues to have influence and is sustainable for years to come. As a Full Service Commercial Real Estate company, the company currently offers Commercial Brokerage services involving office, retail, industrial, multi-family, land, and investment properties, plus Property Management, Construction Management, and Land Development services.
Under its current model for growth, Coldwell Banker Commercial GUNSTREAM & Associates is committed to attracting the very best sales and leasing professionals in the metropolitan area in addition to adding services and support personnel to support this growth. Although the corporate headquarters will continue to be based in Nampa, the company anticipates that a large percentage of the additional brokerage and support staff will be located in a second office in downtown Boise. This office is scheduled to open early in 2009.
