I-84 improvements are focus of ITD open house

An open house to discuss long-term improvements for Interstate 84 from the Karcher Interchange to Five Mile Road will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 1789 S. Eagle Road, Meridian.
The Idaho Transportation Department is conducting a comprehensive study following National Environmental Protection Agency requirements to develop possible alternatives for long-range highway improvements.
Attendees will be asked to discuss their ideas for improvements such as adding lanes and replacing existing interchanges, overpasses and bridges on the interstate.
